Our Connection to Regenerative Agriculture

We believe that the health of the land and the people cannot be separated. Kentucky-based farmers and the farms they care for are the lifeblood of our community. They not only grow and harvest healthy food for our nourishment, but they also contribute to the economic health of our regional economy. We want to elevate this important profession by supporting nonprofit programs that educate young people about farming as a career, who will understand good land use and the necessity of regenerative farming.

We know how important it is for farmers to find markets for the food they grow. And finally, we think that those experiencing food insecurity in the Greater Louisville area should have access to Kentucky-farmed food.

Our History with Agriculture

For the past 65 years, the Norton family has owned and cared for the land on Foxhollow Farm in Crestwood, KY.  Janey and her siblings were fortunate to grow up on the farm, drinking raw milk from the dairy, eating fresh vegetables, and exploring the woods on the 1,300 acre farm.  Today, through Maggie’s vision, the farm is a certified biodynamic farm producing 100% grass-fed beef.  The family is committed to farming using sustainable practices that increase the health of all aspects of our environment: soil, plants, woodlands, ponds and streams, domestic and wild animals, and people.  The adherence to biodynamic methods of farming ensure that the beef is healthier for the land and the people who consume it.
